I really struggled to get over how much older 'William' looked than his companion. It looked almost wrong to be honest even though she's meant to be a machine. Scenes of him having sex with his doll were just weird too. He's so much older and looks so much older and he's sleeping with a doll.
The actress playing Meredith is outstanding and holds the entire film. Rhys - Meyer is adequate. Doesn't really have to do too much with his part apart from have sex with a doll. Rest of the time he's dashing about whispering.
Story whilst when it unfolds is actually really good getting to the unfolding takes time and the film is padded out with subplots surrounding 'terrorists' and andrioid dreams that made me lose interest.
I've seen better - 'Humans' for example. I've also seen worse i.e T. I. M.
