Answering the question of another user, no, those high restriction policies didn't happen during any stage of Covid in Mexico, it's obviously a lazy effort to complement the lack of plot of this movie.
There's not much to say about it, all the characters get eventually naked, but somehow there's no much sensuality nor chemistry between the characters, it's actually a very boring movie.
There's a scene where one of the leads became an onlyfans content creator and he's supposed to be dancing erotically... I laughed. I understand a low budget movie can't hire a prestigious choreographer... but you don't need one! You just need to look on youtube for a sensual choreography and rehearse in your room until you get it.
Julian Hernández has been able to writte and direct amazing short films... but it looks his talent doesn't extend to feature films.

Sometimes better things can be found in small places.
Most of this stand-alone shorts are simple but surprisingly clever and well executed.
It's great that not-so known actors, directors and screenwriters can have a place to start in the showbiz.
However, you can find some acclaimed actors too, like Academy Award nominee Eric Roberts, Academy Award nominee Yalitza Aparicio, and Independent Spirit Award nominee Rachel Sennott.
I'm impressed how the directors managed to capture their ideas using the available resources considering the low budget these projects must have had.
No surprise some of these shorts have been nominated in the most important film festivals such as Sundance.

Sometimes, less is more, and in this case that's the reason why La Gran Seducción nails it, it doesn't try to be anything else but a warmth movie with subtle humor.
There's no doubt Celso R. García is an incredible director, he showed it with the acclaimed movie La Delgada Línea Amarilla, however, after his blunder with the mexican remake of My Best Friend's Wedding I didn't have high expectations, how wrong I was.
Even when the storyline might be predictable, Celso makes it very enjoyable with a heartfelt moral about the predicaments a forgotten town must go through.
Guillermo Villegas and Pierre Louis give standout performances while Yalitza Aparicio amazes as the down to earth mediator, being her chatacter the most likeable.
Even when the plot is similar to its Canadian predecessor, this new one's charm offers its own experience.
