Just check your mind at the door and enjoy the ride. The movie plays it great and doesn't take it self seriously and leans into the mayhem.
Idris Elba and John Cena have great chemistry and are very funny with their bander. Idris Elba is an awesome actor and he does comedy very well which is no surprise.
Priyanka Chopra Jonas action scene are much better than in the Citadel.
Jack Quaid steals the middle of the movie with the crazy ass attack on the the safe house.
Paddy Considine plays a very menacing bad and he is a great actor who can play a good or bad guy and he was very good in House of the Dragon.

The female version of Pinhead is so bloody lame and her costume is really weak and she had the intimation of a Chihuahua. The other Cenobites had some bizarre outfits but all of they look way to polish and not very gory/bloody. Plus when the Cenobites showed up the sets were way to bright. They should have reduced the lighting to make them more intimidating.
The main lead is so unlikeable and I could careless if she lived or was taken by the Cenobites. Only characters I like was her brother and his boy friend and her friend Nora. Who only get caught up in madness cause the main lead and her loser boy friend steal the puzzle box to score some drugs. If you like the series just pass on this stinker and rewatch the original.
