The first season was a little difficult to digest due to the big changes of the format from the 2008 classic tv prequel, but once you get used to that, you really can enjoy it, speacially the improved second season.
In specific I would like to talk about "Esmeralda", the second episode of the second season which I think it could be the best of the whole tv series. Carolina Miranda's performance is really impressive and strong, she totally steals the show.
Some episodes are not so great, but they are not so bad either.
In general it's a very acceptable new adaptation, but it could still improve for the following seasons.

It's not a bad idea to have a serie inspired on the victims of an international abuser like Sergio Andrade... the bad idea is having a person like Gloria Trevi as the leading role, since her participation on the clan have been never clarified.
Declarations from the other victims are very different from the tale told by Trevi, and I wonder why they didn't do a serie inspired on their statements, oh right... they are not famous, rich and powerful like Trevi.
Every episode makes Trevi a martyr, the actress casted as her doesn´t sound or gesture like her, it's like seeing a multiverse version of her, and of course, all the characters around her have flaws but her. She's just a "victim".
