  • Not bad, decent cast

This was a good show, worth watching all eight episodes. I wasn't at all interested in the character of Taylah, the actress seemed really ill suited to the role, she just didn't fit the character. I wasn't much a fan of her.

Leo Woodall is great on screen, but I was confused as to whether he was playing someone on the spectrum, I didn't know how to take the character.

I would really loved to have seem more of Professor Osborne, and a lot less of Taylah. Martha Plimpton is always a pleasant surprise, though.

Plot-wise, if the general audience (I.e. Me) knew more about the subject matter, maybe it would've made more sense in the lead up to the reveal. Then again, the irony is that it made me want to find out more. The incorporation of a little history though was my favorite part, an historic dig site in the plot piqued my interest most. The fact that it tied in to both Mallinder and his wife, Lavin, was a little too convenient, but Sidse Knudsen was absolutely fantastic in the role, my favorite character.

  • Great entertainment

A lot of comparisons between this and The Night Agent since they both released around the same time for both seasons...but The Recruit is worlds better. The writing, the cast, and the tone of the show make it a much better watch.

The cast, each character with so many faults, still make their characters sympathetic and entertaining to watch even if some are more annoying than others. The plot, at times really implausible, still somehow makes it work, and I think it's due to the charisma of each actor and their character. The cast works very well together. When I say this is a fantastic cast, I mean it, the casting director did a great job casting this show and the actors really made their characters sing.

Ultimately, it's a fun spy adventure, hopefully a season 3 is on the way. Loved both seasons.

  • A great British murder mystery

This is a really great show, as British mysteries go, this is definitely worth a watch. The first seasons were fantastic and I really miss lady Felicia and Sid...Mrs. McCarthy, too, but I can understand why she's not there anymore.

Current seasons, I'm loving Mrs. Devine as a character, and while I don't mind Brenda, I find the actress a little odd in her acting choices. She seems to play Brenda very childlike at times and I'm unsure if the character is meant to be slightly dumb or just young. The character is a good addition and the cast works well together, the show works and I like the more wholesome aspect as compared to similar mysteries...less dark.
