This movie might not be for everyone. Was it entertaining? Yes, but unfortunately it was often for the wrong reasons. The plot is surreal, which is fine, but the pacing and the humour can be awkward at times.
Me and my sibling watched the move and at the end, we turned to each other, read back the synopsis and said "where was that movie? Because it didn't match."

First, I'll start with what I liked. The title cards, while lengthy was cleverly filmed and incorporated into the city's skyline.
The acting itself was also good those who are aloof remained aloof. Everyone remained in character throughout.
Now for a bit a negativity. While some nude scenes, I would argue, do push the story forward, the other half are gratuitous and didn't really help with the story line.
The ending however might not be everyone's cup of tea. Without giving away too much of the film I'll say that in retrospect too many movies end the movie with on a closed loop, so in that sense it's refreshing.

While not the most exiting of slasher films due to it's script and mixed pacing, this movie does how have a very good opening and closing segment with a stellar song. For me the movie's theme song by itself is worth a few stars to get you into the mood of the film.
The effects are what you should expect from an old horror movies with a few practical effects looking more like a parody, which is a shame because it breaks the immersion.
All and all, its not the greatest slasher, but its not the worst either. Just your typical teenagers stuck in a summer camp. There's still plenty off small things to appreciate.
