This "3-Musketeer style caper" falls slightly short of expectations but was fun to watch. We could call this is a "musketeer mishap" a historical film which attempts to be funny and borrows much of its storyline from the "3 Musketeers" films of ages past. Unfortunately the film falls short of delivering the humor it promises. The plot feels like a copy of the originals, lacking originality and wit. One redeeming feature is the main antagonist. The baddy emerges as one of the more interesting and likeable characters. His decent demeanor and charisma provide some much needed depth in the film. Whilst this film may have had potential, it falls short of expectations.
