Aside from the stereotypical way the African American american characters talk (albeit knowing that's how they were portrayed in movies, tv, literature and whatnot back then), the probable mammy stereotyping of Aunt Tempy, and the misinterpretation that this is meant to bring light to slavery due to the movie not explicitly stating that it took place during the Reconstruction Era (at least the scenes with Johnny, I'm not sure when the stories told by Uncle Remus took place), I think it's a pretty solid movie. Uncle Remus' interactions with the children are adorable and I think the animated segments are the highlight of the movie, in part thanks to them being the inspiration for Splash Mountain (RIP).
Also, note that they had to tone some things that occurred during the aforementioned era down due to it being a kid's movie.
