I have to say I really enjoyed the cartoon and this show. I'm still a fan of this show because of the intro. I was such a fan of swamp thing because he was different, he's not the usual superhero, and he's a scientist/monster. Dick Durock gave Swamp Thing his heart and soul. He was so good, as a kid there were times seeing him in pain really made me cry. Mark Lindsay Chapman was very good too as Arcane. He didn't play Arcane like a cliche supervillain, he played him as a man who is obsessed with immortality. Either way, I liked the stories and yeah there were some corny ones but it did last three seasons. So for any of you who are haters of this show, you can't deny it lasted three seasons.
I can't say it's as good as the first film because the first film stands out as a true comic book film but this is just as good. First it can be out of focus in some parts but the focus on emotion, justice, and vengeance is a good focus. Richard Brooks really stands out as a villain; he didn't play over the top but a focused individual with sick tendencies. Vincent Perez did well in the lead giving us sympathy, remorse and a father who seeks justice and revenge for the death of his son. You feel for him losing his son to cold hearted violence and the movie did well to make us feel for him. I like this film because it's appeals to the comic book fan in me and I like the good characters in the movie. I'm aware that is not the best movie but I enjoyed despite the bad reviews.
