I recently watched "Stonehearst Asylum" and I was pleasantly surprised. I'd heard it was a thriller, and it completely delivered. The movie's atmosphere is what pulled me in-it felt so eerie and gothic from the start. The cast is phenomenal, with Ben Kingsley and Michael Caine giving really captivating performances that elevate the whole film.
The plot is full of smart twists and turns that kept me guessing right up to the end. It's a great little puzzle to piece together. For those wondering, it's not a remake of another film, but it is based on a short story by Edgar Allan Poe, which is a really cool fact.
So, is it worth watching? Absolutely. If you enjoy a good psychological thriller with fantastic acting and a gripping plot, you'll love this one. It's a hidden gem that deserves more attention.

The movie starts strong, really pulling you in with that "wrong place, wrong time" feeling. The lead actors, Clive Owen and Jennifer Aniston, had pretty good chemistry, and the first half kept me on the edge of my seat.
However, as the plot twists started stacking up, it began to feel a little too complicated. The intense suspense gives way to a story that gets a bit hard to believe, but it was still an entertaining watch. Vincent Cassel was great as the villain, he was genuinely unsettling.
Is it worth watching? If you're looking for a suspenseful thriller and you don't mind a few plot holes, then yes, it's a decent watch for a rainy afternoon. It's not perfect, but it does its job as a tense popcorn flick.

I finally got around to watching "Cargo" and wow, I was genuinely surprised. I'm a big fan of zombie apocalypse stories, but this one is so different. It focuses on the emotional journey, not just the gore. The Australian outback setting makes the whole thing feel fresh and isolated, which really adds to the tension.
Martin Freeman's performance as the father, Andy, is incredible. He portrays the character's desperation and love so powerfully, and I was completely invested in his quest. The film is beautifully shot, and the way it handles themes of hope and sacrifice is really moving. It's a slow burn, but in the best possible way. The pacing keeps you on edge, and the ending is both heartbreaking and hopeful.
