This is a fun movie wish it was a little funnier and a little less all over the place but i still think its a great fun time. Its got some great remasters of classic weird al songs and despite it being a parody of reality a lot of stuff is based in truth which i think is really fun and awesome at least giving it some actual plot. Its got some pretty good jokes and i think its clearly made for weird al fans which is awesome for me. Cant say anything particularly special about it but its fun and the irony of a parody bio pick about a parody artist isn't lost on me.

My legit 1 and only complaint about this movie is the beginning third of this movie is paced oddly and transitioning is weird. ASIDE FROM THAT OH MY GOD THIS MOVIE. This is my favorite arc of the manga and honestly there are some parts the movie does better than the og manga. This movie is packed full of attention to detail and emotion. I can't express enough how this movie just makes you feel. It's unbelievable. I love the tale told in this movie and I just don't wanna spoil for anyone who is considering watching it. So if you are considering do it. You will not regret it. Everything about this movie from the music to animation to the characters is chefs kiss.

I know this is a crazy hot take but to be honest this movie was a giant nothing burger to me. Like i don't know I got an hour into this movie and it felt like nothing happened. I don't like any of the characters except ripley like I just don't care I couldn't get invested for the life of me. Just idk I was so bored and it was a slog to get through this though. The saving graces though were the end sections I did enjoy and the effects in the movie were out of this world like I'm actually in love with the effects in this movie idk how they did it but they were so good. But just the plot in the characters were nothing at best and annoying at worst I just couldn't deal with it. I do think though that with the set up they have that honestly the sequels would be better especially with modern film making technology and maybe some more thought I think that this is a movie that I'm actually interested in the franchise over the original.
