This is written through my tears. Yes, it's a tear-jerker but I'm sad that I'm finally understanding the trans world in it's truest form.

I've lived in San Francisco for 64 years. The trans a drag community is hardly a new concept and actually just not a big deal. Since most everything is accepted here, we see the over-the-top, flamboyant, camp representation. (With the exception of my doctor and my stylist)As if every day is a party. But its not.

We see the NATURAL and yes, innocent view of trans people, from the perspective of children.

The acting and scenery are outstanding. The story is sweet, painful, frightening and beautiful.

I love the Solange character so I also struggled there.

Now this is a film about trans people that I would share with children.

It's important to note that there is no gratuitous sex or nudity. It's just not about that.

Very edgy, watchable show.

I always read reviews here before I decide if a show might be worth my time.

First off, some of these reviews good or bad surprised me. It may be because I'm American. I do not find this to be a comedy. At all.

It's pure drama. Good drama however.

Secondly, I find the story cannot help but make you care about most of the characters, I don't, thankfully, find it relatable and Im concerned by how many reviews remark that its very relatable. Really? I dont think I could find this story relatable and still enjoy it.

I see how many reviewers dont like the main character. This shows me that a lot of viewers are teens. Maybe slightly depressed teens.

As an adult I recognize that great actors are very good at making one dislike a dislikable character. Read: excellent acting.

I think this movie is not great as a teen movie, but excellent as a grownup movie. My kids are grown, and we're boys, but aware how teens, usually girls tend to "catch" disorders and romanticize them.

All this to say, strong story and very well acted.

I'm just now finishing this series.

I wasn't really aware of her body of work, except maybe her Joan Rivers-esque style of entertainment.

I now wish I could meet her and give her a warm hug. She's been used and abused, like many of us, but did it in the public eye.

This was hard to watch and so, so brave.

If you are a woman, this will speak to you. Forget about the fame and fortune for a minute. No matter our station in life, most, if not all of us can recall bits and pieces of her story in our own story.

Insecurities about our beauty, our bodies, relationships, parenthood all linger in our hearts and minds if we came up in the last couple thousand years.

Wendy, darling, I got you. I bet I'm far from alone.

I've walked a mile in your magnificent shoes, but not on a public stage.
