Enjoyable and entertaining, easy to watch. I like the characters and approach, it's reminiscent of the Love Boat. It may not be 100% accurate or authentic with cruising and medical procedures, but isn't that why we watch TV - escapism? My field is neither hospitality nor medical, so I don't know the inside baseball, but I suspect most viewers are like me. It's not a documentary, just a fun, light show with Don Johnson, who I've always liked. Besides, just one episode in, give it more time; I think many are being a bit harsh their reviews. It seems different than other shows in recent years and I look forward to more episodes.
We really do have it all. I watched it twice and find it disturbing, tragic, stressful, and all too real.
This society we've somehow created will be our undoing and this movie hits every theme - the corrupting influence of money in politics, the political access and influence afforded the wealthy and powerful, the dismissal and devaluing of science and subject matter expertise, social media disinformation, the dumbing down of the population and lack of basic knowledge, the power of the media, and worst of all, the severe polarization and partisanship of the populace, blindly believing false information from their own "trusted source" of news and information, to their own detriment.
It makes me sad, because it's so true. Objectivity and the pursuit of truth are dying out in favor of partisan driven agendas. This is us and our partisanship at all costs will be our undoing, it's inevitable. This movie nails it.
