I don't care what critics think about this movie, its awesome. Its Jerry Seinfeld writing like Jerry for other comedians and those of his ilk. It's subtle, smart and hilarious. Kellog's should be forever in his debt. The Jan 6 stuff had me rolling and then I though too soon? Nope not soon enough. Its definitley I am bored and its Covid, let's write a movie that is amusing to me. If other's enjoy it great. Well I did. Super fun.. and wow Bill Burr is great in anything. The little touches like drinking Tab and 1960's references are not to be missed. I think a younger crowd won't get it. But their loss.
Pauly Shore captures the spirit, mannerisms and embodies Richard Simmons, you forget its not really Richard. This short begged to be longer and left the viewer wanting a next chapter of the story. This is a very loving portrayal, like beautiful music.
I wasn't sure what to expect, after seeing Richard Simmons upset at the upcoming biopic, but if this short is an indication there is not only nothing to worry about, but it will honor a very kind man that helped so many.
I read the more negative reviews here and I think they were written before they even watched because they in no way reflect what took place on screen.
