I recently rewatched Tin Can (2020), and I have to say, I don't know what the other reviewers were smoking-this movie deserves way more credit than its 4.1 rating on IMDb. It's a haunting, claustrophobic sci-fi horror that masterfully blends atmosphere with psychological tension. The film's minimalist setting and eerie sound design create an immersive experience that kept me on edge throughout. While it may not be everyone's cup of tea, for those who appreciate slow-burning, thought-provoking narratives, Tin Can is a hidden gem that lingers long after the credits roll.
Forgot to mention...the acting is superb also.

This movie drew me in closer and closer, but when it finally revealed what it was all about, it felt like a joke. Seriously. It's as if two different screenwriters handled the film-one for the first half and another for the second.
It starts as a drama/horror film, but midway through, it flips a switch-not in a good way, but in a my-interest-just-went-from-a-ten-to-a-one kind of way-and suddenly becomes a comedy.
I'm fairly certain I understand what the film was trying to achieve, but in my opinion, it fails horribly in the second half. By the end, it genuinely feels like a comedy.
I'm not a screenwriter, so I can't claim I would have written anything better. All I know is that the film felt like it was building to something epic, and then... and then...
...Hallmark movie cheesiness.

I spent $4.99 on this film, and that is the ONLY reason I finished it. It was not horrible; I have seen far worse. The acting was decent. But the story itself felt contrived and the ending was easily predictable. The characters made stupid decisions, even for a horror film; decisions that were not believable.
I liked the family. I really thought that they did a good job of letting the viewer get to know the family and consequentally feel empathy for the family... but they wasted too much time in doing so.
And the story itself is dragged out for no other reason, it seems, than to be a full length feature film. And at no point do we get to see the demon; we barely even see any action. This can be good in some movies, but not in a found footage horror film.
I can tell that they put a lot of work into the film, but it still sucks. I hate to say it, but it's true.
My advice: if you really want to see it for yourself, wait until it is on a free platform. It is an uncorked production, and a crappy one at that... it WILL be available to watch for free soon, I an certain.
