Nothing happens. It's all just talking. No action, no nothing. Just blah blah blah the whole time.
Characters are all unlikable whiners who just argue and complain and do absolutely nothing. Don't even understand why this was made. What's the point of a movie where there isn't any battles or interesting conceptual stuff or spectacle... or hell, even some dramatic scenery or SOMETHING. Why even make it if there's none of that? What's the point?
Not interesting. Not entertaining. I watched it half an hour ago and have already forgotten the whole thing.
Don't bother with this one it's a waste of time.

What starts as a kid's adventure film where the little boy from ET and his imaginary friend try to thwart some nefarious spies turns super dark. People are gunned down. There is blood. The child actually picks up a gun and shoots a man dead.
It's fantastic.
It's rare to find this level of tonal inconsistency in cinema today, like the filmmakers kept forgetting what movie they were making. It's like if The Parent Trap ended with one of the parents being burned to death in a fire one of the kids started. That's the level of disjointedness that's at play here and it's great.

Taking us back into the dark, flickering alternate history of cassette futurism, replete with fuzzy green CRTs, big clunky switches, and boxy utilitarianism; if Alien Romulus were judged on aesthetic authenticity alone, it would win.
Fortunately there's so much more here than just the LOOK of the thing. Tapping into everything that made the first two films great, and treating their universe with great reverence, this could actually be the best film of the entire franchise and the worthiest of successors.

It feels like a true sequel, quite unlike everything else that came post-ALIENS.
