When I read the positive comments on this show I have to wonder if it's a grand conspiracy perpetrated by people in some way associated with the series or those involved in its making. Florida Man is hands-down some of the worst written, worst casted, worst acted, trite, cliche garbo I have seen in my lifetime of television watching. The only redeeming qualities in this epic failure at story telling are the cinematography, editing, and location selection. Every character is written from the same uninspired perspective, in the same inexperienced voice, employing the same predictable, boring, leading dialog, smattered here and there with expletives for attempted dramatic effect. It's a master class in how to pastiche all the worst qualities employed in 80's daytime soap operas into a singular, gleaming golden turd of a show. I can't imagine any bit of this read better on paper than it comes across on the screen, and am shocked that it ever saw the light of day. I'm angry with myself for watching the entire series, but felt it was a necessary evil should something positive crawl from the fetid sinkhole this show circles around. Spoiler alert - it didn't.
