Take this for what it is - an FPV adventure, like the original Cloverfield. I haven't been this locked into a film since Nightcrawler!

Some criticisms would be silly dramatic moments which felt out of place, and overcooking the finale when they could have stuck to their cool concepts and made it less of a funfair haunted-house. Perhaps its a budget thing, but less is more imo - rather than having extras running around with make-up on. I also thought at the time the mythology could have benefited from some extra research, but really it did its job adding colour to the story

Finally, for fans of beautiful women, the lead actress is spellbinding. Pity about her satchel positioning!

I watched this to practise French not expecting anything other than netflix dross, but was surprised at how funny and well executed the whole thing was. All the characters were fun, especially Youseff the wig-wearing rogue. I loved the arabic/gangster vibe as well which added colour to the vernacular. The fights are great and not over-long, and some death scenes and near-death scenes at the finalé were hilarious.

Recommended, I can't think of anything quite like it apart from something like lock stock and two smoking barrels, but this was a bit less concerned trying to look cool. Its a pity to be hammered in the imdb score, its a quality bit of cinema.
