I truly wonder if this was the work of a Gen Z-er or someone older. Either way, it makes me wonder what exactly H&R Block is trying to accomplish. I'm 21 and enjoy occasionally watching shows like Survivor, Love Island, and so on, especially with friends. The stories are predictable but they all have a common trope - there are dumb characters BUT there's also smart characters. You root for the smart ones and make fun of the dumb ones. Simple, right?

Why does this show not do that? They're all dumb! Who am I supposed to be rooting for??? If this is trying to portray Gen Z as dumb and clueless concerning taxes, that has been accomplished. H&R Block, your competition isn't TurboTax, it's things like FreeTaxUSA. We don't NEED the frills of filing taxes; we just want to get it over with. It doesn't have to be such a fun adventure (nor should it - they're TAXES). Perhaps spend the money on a show that'll get Gen Z actually excited about something. Or, don't do anything at all!
