I liked Chris prat in Guardians of the Galaxy. I enjoyed Millie Bobby Brown in Stranger Things. I also would have thought I would have liked them in The Electric State. Unfortunately The both have same hair style being wavey in the movie. This made Millie look like she was in her twenties instead of a teen. I didn't find the movie to keep me glued to my TV. In fact I almost fell asleep. The acting is based what the director wanted. I didn't find that the comedy was funny. I didn't find the action as realistic.
Robots? I love the thought of possibly seeing them as earth gets smarter. These robots in the movie are lacking realistic viewing. Buck Rogers of the 25 century had a better robot than the Electric State round objects were held together by what?
I didn't enjoy this movie it was almost like they were going for a rating of G accept the few foul words said.
Watch the movie, I could be wrong, but I would call it a flop like Waterworld.

I have read the directors mini bio. After watching a few episodes on these cartoons he should give up any acting or directing. The cartoons are great director not so much. We as viewers don't need your insight to the cartoons. The director felt the need to put himself in the video at the begining of every episode. Why? Is it his arrogance, pride or ego that did this. We as the TV viewer don't need this. Sure maybe commentate but to see him introduce every episode is not necessary. If I was editing I would just have the shows name. This was his way of thinking he knows more than his audience. Basically looking down or calling them down because he is so smart. NOT. His ego got inthe way of showing these cartoons. People are not dumb. His being in the show says different.
