Usaginee's rating
This episode was both a perfect adaptation of the manga and a perfect continuation to the series.
The animation and scenery were both beautiful, and the pacing was great. While this was a more slice-of-life episode, it developed both leads excellently and foreshadowed potential later plot points very well. It kept a tense atmosphere while allowing for lighter moments.
Also, it was great to see more on Yoshiki's sexuality. It was nice to hear a character explicitly say "LGBT".
So don't let people's unfairly low ratings trick you!

Don't let review-bombers fool you! People are just mad because there's queer characters in this great horror story...
This second episode kept the tense nature of the first while also exploring Yoshiki and Hikaru's relationship further. The pacing was great, and it adapted the manga to the animation format perfectly, changing exactly what needed to be shifted to fit. I was incredibly happy how the "chest scene" was adapted... I was worried it would take away the LGBT-related themes, but it did not!
Very happy with this episode.
