We Are Wolves (2024)
Grate movie with horrible acting
The premise of the movies a well as the plot is very nice.
It's representation of BDSM and S/M topics is very accurately deciphered. I really like the characters and relationships between them, it could have been more thorough in exploring their relationships, but it was entertaining to watch.
Concept of safeword was nicely represented.
One of the worst thing in this movie was acting, it was extremely bad, I've never seen such a horrible acting in my entire life. Even commercials on TV have better actresses than these three women did. It completely ruined the movie for me.
Overall, It's worth a watch.
Secretary (2002)
Disturbing.
Secretary is often hailed as a groundbreaking film that delves into the complexities of a BDSM relationship. However, upon closer examination, it becomes clear that this movie is less a representation of BDSM and more a portrayal of abuse, exploitation, and deeply troubling psychological issues.
One of the most alarming aspects of Secretary is its portrayal of consent, or rather, the lack thereof. Grey's dominance over Lee crosses boundaries that should never be approached in a healthy BDSM relationship. Consent in BDSM is paramount; it must be informed, enthusiastic, and ongoing. Yet, in Secretary, we see Grey exploiting Lee's fragile mental state, manipulating her into situations where she cannot possibly make clear, informed decisions. The absence of a safeword or any clear communication about limits and boundaries is a glaring oversight that should not be romanticized or excused.
Moreover, the film irresponsibly drags non-consenting third parties into their twisted relationship. Peter, Lee's boyfriend, is kept in the dark about her relationship with Grey, making him an unwitting participant in their kink.
Secretary could have been an opportunity to shed light on the true nature of BDSM, to educate and inform. Instead, it perpetuates harmful stereotypes and dangerously conflates mental illness with submissive tendencies. BDSM is not therapy, and it should never be used as a means to 'fix' someone. Lee needed professional help, not a toxic relationship with a man who saw her vulnerability as an opportunity for exploitation.

Shameful attempt at a movie, disrespecting the name.
I wont even bother writing a review, I will just randomly come up with insults to throw at this movie in the same manner that the writers did composing a script. Insult will be cringy and stupid just like the movie. A perfect reflection if you ask me.
This movie is so stupid, it makes a broken chainsaw seem useful.
This movie is scarier for its bad writing than its chainsaw-wielding villain.
The only massacre here is of good taste and decent filmmaking.

Worst movie of 2024? Or ever?
The acting, particularly from the young protagonist Alyla Browne, is lackluster and her character, Charlotte, comes off as highly unlikable and irritating. The plot is uninspired and struggles to blend horror with family drama, resulting in a tedious experience.
Despite its shortcomings, there are some redeeming qualities. The old lady, brings a touch of warmth and humor, making her a standout in an otherwise disappointing cast. However, even her performance can't salvage the overall clusterF. This movie is.
In summary, Sting is an extremely boring movie with horrible acting and a horrible plot, dragged down by an abhorrent little girl (main role) who cant act. The only bright spot is the old lady's performance. Overall, it's a 1 out of 10.
Lowlifes (2024)
Solid movie, one of the best of 2024.
The cast deliver commendable performances, especially considering their relative inexperience. The dynamic between Fix's character, Amy, and Llewellyn's Savannah is particularly noteworthy, adding depth to the film's tension and suspense. The movie also stands out for its well-executed gore, which is impressive given the budget constraints.
One of the highlights is the plot twists that keep viewers guessing until the end, culminating in an unusual and unpredictable ending. Despite some familiar horror tropes, "Lowlifes" manages to deliver a fresh take on the genre, making it a standout among Tubi Originals. Additionally, Amanda Fix's portrayal of Amy, the main role, not only showcases her acting skills but also her striking breasts, which adds another layer to her character's appeal.
Overall, "Lowlifes" earns a solid 7 out of 10 for its engaging storyline, effective use of gore and the surprising quality of the cast's performances.

The Boys Season 4 kicks off with a bang! Episode 1 delivers intense action, sharp satire, and brilliant character development.
The storyline is gripping, the special effects are top-notch, and the acting is phenomenal.
The reveal of Frenchie's sexuality adds depth to his character, but let's be clear: if you're offended by this, you are the goober that show is actively making fun of.
The Boys continue to be one of the best shows on TV, unafraid to challenge norms and deliver quality entertainment.
Also, can we talk about Antony Starr as Homelander? His acting is getting better by the season. Give that man an Emmy already!

The First Omen (2024)
Average disappointment, Another 2024 classic.
I was very disappointed with The First Omen. The first 40 minutes were great, building suspense and setting up an intriguing plot. However, the second half ruined everything.
The acting was average, the lighting was terrible, and the ambiance was all over the place, whole movie lacked suspense. Some moments were really dragged out, making it a chore to watch.
There were some good moments to it. I will not mention them because I don't remember them, I was bored and did not care enough to pay attention.
I haven't seen the previous films in The Omen series, and based on this experience, I have no desire to do so. It didn't live up to its potential and left me feeling let down.
Pitiful 5/10.

Overall, the film is a compelling thriller deserving of its 7 out of 10 rating, thanks to strong performances, a tense atmosphere, and intriguing themes.

The second worst horror movie of 2024?
Caitlin Cronenberg's Humane is a sluggish attempt at social commentary wrapped in a messy, one-note thriller. Set in a future plagued by food scarcity, the film squanders its intriguing premise by drowning in its own self-importance. Despite a talented cast, the characters remain thinly sketched caricatures, devoid of any real depth or nuance. The plot meanders aimlessly, weighed down by heavy-handed moralizing and clunky dialogue.
While the film occasionally flirts with unsettling imagery, it ultimately fails to deliver any genuine tension or suspense. The violence feels gratuitous and disconnected, lacking the impact needed to resonate with the audience. Even the central conflict, supposedly a life-or-death moral dilemma, falls flat due to poor execution and uninspired storytelling.
Humane desperately wants to be a thought-provoking exploration of ethical quandaries, but instead, it comes across as pretentious and contrived. Mother! (2017)
Extremely annoyed and dissapointed.
As a viewer, "mother!" was a frustrating experience from start to finish. The film reeked of pretentiousness, with its heavy-handed religious allegory hitting me over the head like a sledgehammer. It felt like the director had little faith in the audience's intelligence, opting instead to beat us into submission with painfully obvious symbolism.
However, amidst this mess, Jennifer Lawrence's acting stood out as a beacon of talent. Despite the ridiculousness of the plot, Lawrence managed to deliver a believable performance, drawing me into her character's turmoil and confusion. But even her skill couldn't salvage the overall trainwreck.
Sure, the scenery was impressive, but it felt like putting lipstick on a pig. No amount of visually striking imagery could make up for the sheer frustration of sitting through this pretentious mess. The suspense was decent, I'll give it that, but it was like being strung along by a master manipulator who ultimately leads you nowhere.
In the end, "mother!" was a waste of my time and energy. Its attempts at profundity fell flat, leaving me feeling annoyed and unfulfilled. I'd give it a generous 6/10, and that's only because of Lawrence's commendable performance amidst the chaos.
