For the most part, this is a movie you won't remember the day after you watch it. There was virtually no chemistry between the husband and wife. She could have been reading from a script for all the warmth she displayed. The real relationship is between the father and the daughter, young Matilda Firth. She is, in my opinion, the single redeeming factor in this whole movie. Sure, it contains a new take on the werewolf legend and an interesting one at that but for me, it was Matilda who makes this movie worth watching past the half way point. She has a bright future ahead of her. Watch it you're a horror fan, skip it if you aren't.
I really enjoyed this show so, in all probability, it isn't coming back. Still, IMDB shows a forthcoming season but here it is nearly October 2024 and there's no sign of it. The girls will both be a couple of years older now so the same jokes and storyline wouldn't work quite as well if they don't hurry it up and bring it back soon. Did they run into problems post-covid? All the good shows, the ones I like at least, seem to bite the dust. Most recently Time Bandits on Apple streaming has been cancelled, much to my dismay. Has the same thing happened to Daddy's Divas? If anyone knows what's up, let the rest of us know please.
