For season 3, I give 4 stars and for season 1-2, I give 8 stars.
I enjoyed season 1 and 2. It was fun as good detective lawyer series should be, but I feel like I wasted my time watching season 3. It's full of unnecessary dialogues, actions and sweet moments. Moreover, the script of this season makes the main character, Mickey, become a confused, hesitant lawyer, not as smart as in the novel or as he was in the first 2 seasons, which is not fun at all. What the writers did was to stretch a story that should have ended in 5 episodes into 10 episodes. However, I am looking forward to watch season 4 and hope it will be better than the last season.

This series is 20 years old now. Criticizing it doesn't make it any better. However, I couldn't stop myself from sharing my opinion. After watching several seasons I've found that the storyline of this series is driven by stupidity, improvident, delayed travel and funny little mistakes. For example, CTU learned that a mole had been tampering with data from the situation room and was blaming the wronged officer. It took a season to find the real mole. The truth came out because they saw the footage from the CCTV. Oh yeah, if they browse the CCTV footage in the first place, they would have found the mole in a minute, not a season. This is just one example. Those stupid stories and decisions allowed them to stretch out the unrealistic, ridiculous story for hundred episodes. I am surprised why they got such a very good rating. All the stars I give are from the production and the cast.
Every time I see Rusty, I turn my eyes away from the TV. This character is annoying. Not to mention that the idea of letting the boss's son hang around in the police station and stick his nose in the investigations is ridiculous. I don't think this character helps anything. It ruins the good show.
