The effects are impressive but I like how I can feel the cruelty of Commodus and how laymen can relate w Maximus . Part2 even w an impressive cast doesn't make you feel connected. The best actor in part 2 is the General and I'm glad some of the questions if part 1 was answered like who is the real father of Lucios. I still think it's worrg the movie ticket as this kind of epic story doesn't come easily these days . There are gory parts that I don't like but I'm prepared of it . Highly recommended to watch . I'm waiting if it will collect awards in the next academy awards like the first part. Enjoyed.

How I wish the movie ending part is longer. Julia and Alden cat really act. Julia even reminds me of how a younger Claudine Baretto act. With fierceness and depth . Alden himself is good at being a pressured privileged kid that constantly needs to prove himself . I wish both of them can do more projects . The movie is also well received overseas considering that it doesn't have that much of a promotion. I do hope they can receive am acting award for this . Philippine cinema should try to make movies that will show the reality and struggles of loving someone that is not share the same interest.
