By itself, this game is buggy and filled with problems, but is still enjoyable. However, when you compare it to past games like Fight Night Champion and Fight Night Round 4, you can see many more problems arise. For example, many ghost punches happen which diverts from the immersion of the game. Also, the modes besides exhibition are really boring after a short while. However, the game's character creator is OUTSTANDING! Aside from robes and entrances needing customization, this is nearly perfect. If I was being REALLY critical, I'd say to add a few more hair and beard options. Other than that, the creation suite is pretty much perfect. BUT, we have 2 more big problems to discuss. The first of which is that the game's too damn expensive. It's like 40 something dollars for THAT? Also, the roster's kinda trash. There are very few if no boxing legends, and some good legends are behind 5-man $20 dlc packs. IT'S FREAKING REDICULOUS! All in all, the game is fun, but either way, just wait until it's on sale.
This game is just amazing! The roster of both legends and current boxers (for 2010...) is solid, and all of the models look lifelike at times. Speaking of which, the graphics are downright stunning sometimes, especially for being released in 2010. The arenas look fantastic, especially when they're drenched in blood after an intense bout. Blood and battle scars look tremendous in this game. The controls are easy to pick up and play, although difficult to master. The punches are snappy and satisfying. The story mode in this game is great, too. I will say: the final boss in the story mode might be the hardest boss fight in any game EVER. It's that damn hard. Anyway, although there aren't many modes, they're all damn good. So, this game is highly recommended by myself to any fellow Boxing fan to enjoy.
