They've collected a lot of 'names' here to entice people to watch this, but its really quite undeserving of anyone's attention.
It's bereft of any humour, not particularly clever, and just not entertaining in any manner IMHO.
The television production standards don't really help its cause. No it's not 'charming' it's just rubbish.
My guess is that this is a kind of cheap, British pastiche of Spinal Tap with its looseness and rambling dialogue etc. But it really misses the mark by an astonishing margin, with a muddled plot and general lack of ideas, 'writing' and direction.
As someone who even thought 'Sex Lives of the Potato Men' was tolerable, I really have nothing positive to say about 'Time Travel Is Dangerous' with the exception of throwing some praise in the direction of Ruth Syratt, who for an essentially unknown actress shows potential for future, hopefully better projects.

Well, to its credit, they don't waste a huge amount of time on the 'plot', such that it is. Everything just kind of falls into place and all the stock characters kind of unquestioningly go along with the nonsense that ensues.
Trouble is though that even the action sequences are jaded, cliched, predictable and of course, ridiculous. Despite this, Neeson handles it all with his usual stoic sincerity (which I guess is why they keep hiring him for these straight-to-video type thrillers) but I think it's asking a lot for him to be the centre, all four edges and the filling of this flick; with little if any help from an uncharismatic supporting cast of nobodys who will likely never be seen again.
The production is also nothing to get excited about with a low-rent look, sub-par visual effects and an ineffective generic soundtrack.
It's all a very long way from Oskar Schindler and Qui-Gon, but I wouldn't want to call this his lowest point because the old boy is still churning them out, and who knows, it could get even worse. If you have a terrible action movie to pitch, give his agent a call.

I did make it through all six episodes, so it's not 'unwatchable', but they could have made this show so much richer, rather than spacing out the couple of gags that were present.
It kind of rushes its way toward the premise of the show after a very brief set up, but then doesn't feel like it knows what to do when it gets there.
It's a nice idea and a mostly pretty good cast, but unfortunately, there's only enough 'writing' for maybe two of them at best.
Good attempt, but this doesn't deserve another series on merit, even though it will probably get one because of the power of positive discrimintion. But I won't be watching it.
