Kathy (Kellie Martin) plans to avoid any holiday traditions that bring back memories of her late husband until she receives an ornament from a handsome shop owner, Tim (Cameron Mathison).
Kellie Martin LOOKS too old for this part, she's supposed to be a fairly young widow, she was 38 at the time this was filmed, (probably what the script writer had in mind) but she looks more like 49 or 50, and looks like a widowed Grandma, and very different than her photos on social media!!! Just look at her competition for Tim's affection, Rebecca, (Laura Mennell). Also, I understand she's supposed to be a grieving widow, but her overall personality seems cold hearted instead of broken hearted. Her performance also seems very wooden. Cameron Mathison is excellent as usual. The miscasting of the role of Kathy ruined the movie for me.

This story is about a lifestyle TV personality, Jennifer Wade (Mira Sovino), who has a bit of a harsh personality and is a perfectionist. Her Agent urges her to take some time off and offers her cabin in a small Colorado town, of North Creek. On the way there a blizzard happens and she has a car accident and loses her memory. A widowed Veterinarian, John Blake (Cameron Mathison) and his son see her wondering in the road and he takes her to his family home to stay and enable her to seek medical attention and also search for concerned relatives or friends. Since she has amnesia she choses Maggie as her temporary name. Maggie not only starts to fall for John, but also adores and loves his three kids as well. They fall into a comfortable happy family life together. Maggie's personality under goes a change as she discovers that the most important thing in life is caring for others, and having others care about you. There is an antagonistic, Brooke, (Ona Grauer) who likes John and is a bit jealous of Maggie, and Maggie is jealous of Brooke. Brooke wishes she can put an end to Maggie's stay in North Creek so John's interest will be focused on her, and is trying to recall where she's seen Maggie before. Maggie has really come to love her family life with John and the kids. Maggie/Jennifer will soon have to be make a decision on what makes her truly happy and the life she really wants to live.
Cameron Mathison and Mira Sovino have good chemistry together and play their roles perfectly. The supporting roles are also well cast. I wish there were a little bit more private moments and romance between the two leads. This movie has a special heartwarming and enjoyable family life spirit about it.

Olivia (Elizabeth Mitchell) is a Dance Teacher, Edward (Cameron Mathison) is a busy Consultant, visiting his family for Christmas, they meet when they attempt to help an elderly woman in distress find her lost Christmas savings. Unable to locate the actual lost cash, they each put in half, and restore her savings, not letting the woman know it was actually them that replaced the lost funds. Thanks to fate and Christmas magic, they keep running into each other which leads to a friendship involving each others families, and eventually romantic feelings for Olivia and Edward. What is fun and unique about this movie is way the original money turned up in mystery ways, just when they needed it to pay them back for their kindness. We also see the elderly woman pop up here and there adding additional mystery to the story. There is the usual "conflict" when Edward's kindness in attempt to help Olivia in a crisis is misunderstood, and the ending is somewhat predictable. However, this is a sweet charming and entertaining RomCom. My only complaint was that the ending was too rushed, a common Hallmark complaint.
Elizabeth Mitchell and Cameron Mathison are well cast for their roles and have good chemistry. I also liked the supporting cast.
