I think a lot of people don't understand what's so interesting about Riri. She is young, chaotic, and brilliant. This story shows how ego and the wrong crowd can influence someone to make bad choices. It's a fresh take to how Ironheart finally became a hero. Sorry, not everyone can wake up and instantly be a hero. I think that sort of hero is played out. We saw him in Spiderman, Batman, Superman etc. And for the last couple of years i feel like they have been focused on making characters too likeable. Like damn, not all heroes need to be quirky, where is the character development? It's time for more complex characters, and that is exactly what Marvel is giving us.
Read the books, couldn't stop laughing at how witty and well written this book was. Had high hopes for the movie...but frankly i found it too long, and the script felt unnatural... the music made it feel like a hallmark movie, ie. Low budget films with corny plotlines...Visually the movie, besides the corny "love interest", was not bad to watch, the camera just failed to capture the intimacy and passion that the protagonists had in the books. Casters need to focus on the actors' abilities to deliver a convincing performance over displaying ab muscle. The entire movie felt superficial and lacked real depth or originality. Passionflix needs to do better.
