I'm in 7mins and 16 seconds. The music hooks you in and the landscape you're in. Already you want to be a part of that life. The main actor with the hat and beard in the beginning X-factor for sure. But the son and supposed to be "uncle" who seems too young boring. Even more boring are the two women cast, the ones in the bar. Boring 10 years ago Instagram influencer type faces. Casting is super important, and if the casting and acting is not top, then you can flush the great script down the toilet. Look at movies from 80s and before. Absolutely ridiculous that reviews must be the first chapter of a book! What idiot came up with that idea???
I want to love it but it is painfully boring. The costume and decor is pleasing to the eye, and seeing so many actors we love made it feel nostalgic and particularly fun to see the Australian story line as part of this American series. Apart from the whole who done it story I think it has been done so many times it might be part of the reason it's boring. But I do the script, the characters were boring. Was it supposed to be funny? It drags. Going back to the court each time added more boring. I want to encourage fresh colourful series like this but unfortunately the script falls short. I prefer more comedy and more explosive characters. The chef she was funny! I liked her.
The generally compliant is where are the comedy movies? What happened to them? When they do appear they're just so badly written. Listening to a bunch of bridesmaids and the bride swearing the F word and referring to women as Btchs is I'm sorry really lazy writing, unimaginative and just not funny. The casting is just as awful as the script, no chemistry and many new faces just dull, perhaps not to over shadow Reeth Witherspoon. This had a potential to be a good movie because there is a good idea behind it but the casting is all over the place it's not believable and it's just not funny. Couldn't stick to the movie, had to turn off half way through. Back to watching the comedy from the 90s and early 2000s.
