I liked this film a lot. It's a great comedy that's easy to follow. The stakes of the movie are also pretty low. I always hate it when in a film you have to face the confrontational aspect. One character finds out a big secret or something along those lines. This movie has none of that. Just classic shenanigans. Another thing I dislike about films is any scene that gives me second-hand embarrassment. Once again, this movie had none of that. Yet another win. I also really liked the acting as well as the concept and execution of it. If you're anything like me, you'll love this movie too. Give it a chance and enjoy a hilarious movie night!
I checked this movie out from the library because I was intrigued by how many famous actors made an appearance in this film. I don't hate this movie, but I wouldn't say it's the best either. It is simply put, intense. I like the way that everyone is playing themselves. Because of that, we get a very over-the-top portrayal of Halley Feiffer. So much of the time, I had no idea where this movie was headed. Not necessarily a bad thing, just not exactly everyone's cup of tea. I liked it. Although I did find myself cringing quite a bit because of Halley and Ryan's shenanigans. Something to keep in mind if you plan on watching this movie. You might want to stay clear if raunchy humor isn't your thing, or if you get second-hand embarrassment easily.
I thoroughly enjoyed this movie. Not only was this film a pleasure to watch visually, but it was also amazing to watch for the audio. Overall, this film made me realize just how much beauty we overlook in the world. This movie poses the question of how things would be without the small pleasures that we hear regularly. This movie was also quite a tearjerker. Be prepared to cry when watching this. If you enjoy artsy films, this might be the film for you. I highly recommend it.
