Now, don't get me wrong, I wouldn't consider this to be the best movie, but I also don't think it's really bad either. I enjoyed watching it. I will admit that some moments don't have the best acting, but I think that as it went on, it wasn't quite as bad. I think what made me able to continue watching was Mackenzie ( one of the main characters). I absolutely loved her quirky nature and her cute little goofs. I think that the actor's portrayal in particular is what made her likable to me. On the other hand, I can't say the same for the other lead, Cassie. She was annoying for quite a bit of the movie. If you plan to watch this movie, be aware that there isn't any outrageous action that takes place. It's a drama. The story shows a dramatic story between 2 friends. This movie isn't a must-watch, but if you want to try it out, there's no one stopping you.
While the title is quite dark, I found that the movie itself isn't as dark as you'd expect. I have never seen anything quite like this film, and I think that says a lot to say about the creativity of this film. I enjoyed the lead characters quite a bit, and even though it's a love story like the title suggests, it isn't in your face about it. In other words, it isn't overly lovey-dovey. It has all the makings of a classic road trip movie with a million times more creativity and uniqueness. By the end, you find yourself rooting for the lead relationship even though the movie didn't go overkill with it. I'd definitely recommend this film to anyone who appreciates the artistry of film or really just artsy films in general. Don't let the title steer you away from it, I promise you it's a film worth watching!
When I watched this film, I wasn't expecting it to be as good as it was. From the very beginning, I found the film itself to be beautiful. That alone is the sort of thing that keeps me interested enough to watch a movie. I admit that I didn't think I'd like the lead solely because of how obsessed she was with one boy in particular, but as the film progressed, I grew to like her more and more. This film works great if you are searching for something that fulfills your need to watch something quirky with beautiful visuals. If you plan to watch this, I want you to know that there is a brief, sad scene. A moment in the film. The way they handled the writing for it was lovely. Really, I find everything about this film beautiful. I honestly don't have any gripes about it. If you're interested, give it a watch. Don't judge a book by its cover, it's way better than you'd expect!
