I started watching Alice in Borderland because so many people were calling it underrated and better than Squid Game. Honestly, the first season didn't impress me that much. Some of the CGI looked cheap and the story felt a bit unrealistic.
Season two started off stronger. Up until around the fourth episode it really felt like the show had leveled up. The games were smarter.
But then just like season one, it slipped back into the same issues. The story started feeling predictable again and the action scenes were like a Bollywood action movie.
However, the ending twist was actually pretty smart.
Session 3 The whole "life after death" concept is cool and adds a nice twist, but honestly some of the games are either boring or way too complicated. And since we already know the main characters aren't going to die, their choices never really feel risky. That makes the plot kind of predictable, even when it tries to build tension.

All the characters feel so real, and Stephen Graham as Jamie's dad is just on another level. He brings so much emotion that really hits you. The camerawork is also incredibly impressive like pulling off a single-shot style for each hour-long episode must have been so difficult, but they really nailed it.
The only thing is the plot.... something feels a little incomplete. It's not bad, but there's a sense that a piece is missing.

The set design and overall production are excellent, really giving the show a strong vibe. Season 1 was impressive with well-balanced pacing and plenty of mystery to uncover. For that season, I'd rate it 8/10.
Season 2, however feels extremely slow. Many episodes drag without adding much to the story. At times it seems like two or three episodes' worth of content could have been condensed into one. It's disappointing to see the momentum drop after such a strong start.
