Based in UK desparate to watch and lucky enough to watch on STV.
A beautiful mini series based on Alexander dumas novel. Stunning locations, architecture, music, art and most of all superb acting and directing.
Sam Claflin as Edmund/the count was absolutely hypnotic. Close up camera work on his eyes showed the pain, anger and loss of the character. Episode with Abe Faria (Jeremy Iron) was enthralling don't know where time went.
Actors playing Danglars, Vampa, Caderousse and Jacapo gave humour which I enjoyed too!
The villains of the piece played magnificently too.
A show not to be missed. I'm on my 3rd time round😁

Enjoyed this film. I would say good film to get kids into horror genre. Mild horror not the hard stuff that would give them nightmares. As a child of the 70s compare this to the hammer type films which I loved when I was a teenager.
Sam Claflin as Patrick held the film together well as the father of a young son he is trying to protect from the Bagman. Loved the family scenes nice to see this in a recent film. The young boy who played the son was absolutely adorable and connection with Sam was brilliant.
Purchased on Sky Store so can watch again.
Only negative thing I can say is with regards the advertising by Lionsgate. Why oh why did they have to show the face of the bagman on the snippets for the film. Bad move. Horror is about keeping the suspense and fear of the unknown to last minute.
