Caroline Goldsmith is an Autism professional in Ireland of many years standing. As a professional this review will centre on how I found the film from that stand point. I have known many such amazing characters as those portrayed in this classic and iconic film. Which gives a very accurate depiction of the Autistic person with a Neurotypical sibling. The relationships are often complicated and frustrating but at the same time loving and supportive. Very much how it is in real life for such families who have ot have infinite patience and understanding to support the Neurodiverse family member. Well worth a watch and richly deserving of the four Oscars. A timeless classic film that broke new ground and opening up a whole conversation that is still raging today worldwide.
Caroline Goldsmith is an Autism professional of many years standing in Ireland. This film was fantastic and gives a very heart felt vulnerable portrayal of an Icon of the Autism world. This amazing lady Temple Grandin has changed the world in so many ways. The film makers have accurately captured the essence of this iconic figure and the choice of cast was excellent in Clare Danes. The rest of the cast give good supporting performances and pout across the difficulty of dealing with an Autistic person where no malice is meant. Further it shows what is possible with the correct and tailor made supports for that person. Highly entertaining and also informative.
Caroline Goldsmith is an Autism professional of many years in this field and found this a good watch. I am sure that some will find it provocative also. Both those in the spectrum and otherwise can learn from the insights portrayed here. The characters give a good picture of what life is like for them. And it is personal obviously at times. The film is good for people who know nothing about the subject and may be looking to learn more or for those who have a loved one or relative on the spectrum and are curious as to how life feels for them. I found it an intriguing watch and would highly recommend this movie.
