I've seen these episodes peppered all over the Law and Order SVU franchise but it still intrigues me that these sort of human trafficking cases are prevalent and still happening to this day. Viewers complaining how predictable the episode is and yada yada yada but honestly, im vested in this series for the human aspect of this show - not expecting something to blow me away. Watch it and be reminded the freedom we take for granted that others want around the world.
I actually like Velasco in this episode as it's centered more around him and where these victims are coming from. Reminds me of other old casts who also went off the deep end to go and try to solve this case on their own.
