Amazon's series starts out with few problems. Mostly casting. , if you have read every Book in the Alex Cross's series , you have your own image of the amazing characters that come to life right off yet pages. As with the many movies of the cross novels , they just do not get the characters right. Alex is a good pick ! But, John Sampson , should be a much bigger man. Like a wide , big , football player. This Alex is I related to as my Fav Det Cross. The kids are ok at the younger age. But, Mama Nana , is too young , and I see her as a thinner lady, with a BIG Personality, and always cooking , good , comfort food! Not , packing , carrots and celery.

Her meals in the warm , older , kitchen were written so well, I could taste her cobbler and biscuits !

Maria has only a small part and she was also not as I pictured her. I hope he meets Bree Stone ?

Music is jamming , and I do see the friendship between he and Sampson , but, it's not as strong as in the novels , I am still enjoying it, and the serial killer does fit, one of the many, Det Cross has to bring to justice , just the plot is a bit confusing , and the killer is discovered fairly quickly too, I hope the series had a 2nd , 3rd and 4th seasons for us to have the Actors grow into their storylines from the Novels. They are the heart of the success of Cross!
