I don't care too much about canon or tradition that must be adhered to but I do care about entertaining sci-fi. This episode and the rest of this season seem to be written and directed by committee. The actors themselves are doing a good job and showing different aspects of their personality but the sci fi part is lacking. Decent drama almost sitcom like, something you can watch at 7pm on a Tuesday night back in the day but does not satisfy the adventure itch.
Since I watched this for the first time thru streaming app with 4 ad stops my expectations for this movie were pretty flat. It turned out enjoyable and a good use of ones entertainment time. Pacing is great, cat and mouse games a plenty, thin plot line to keep things flowing and Lawrence Fishburn at his usual high standards. The trailers summarize the movie well but the most fun for me was the battle between a 175 IQ person:
A. On a mission of revenge
B. An expert analyst with CIA technical training
C. Leverage material in his possession.
D. Reasonable social and physical skills.
Going up against 2 old school well seasoned agents with lots of resources..... the super easy access to all kinds of resources is the plot thinner but glad for that.
