  • Like watching paint dry on a wall

Has a good and promising start and some very good visual ideas....

    But...

After that the movie gets more boring and confusing by the minute.

The lead actress was very good and carried the whole thing and I also liked the premise of the movie.

But I got the impression, the makers of that movie did not know how to turn it all into something good or how to write a good story for the screen.

And after they ran out of ideas they just used excruciatingly long shots to fill the time.

Also instead of having the female hero outwitting her supernatural foe and fighting it, you just see one boring scene after the other where her mind gets tortured by it.

When even reading "Screenwriting for Dummies" is too much of a challenge, filmmakers end up producing boring movies like Smile 2.

They also repeat the few good visual ideas they had in the beginning over and over again.

It's like if Hitchcock in "Psycho" had shown the famous shower scene ten times.

Although I doubt that the makers of Smile 2 have ever heard of Alfred Hitchcock.

Everything in Smile 2 becomes repetitive - and boring.

And towards the end the movie just becomes outright stupid and totally dumb.

Watch it when you want to see how (not) to fill a movie that ran out of a few good ideas early on - or if you want to check if Fast-Forward on your remote works well.

You could also watch grass grow instead - or paint dry on a wall.

Both are far more entertaining than this failure.

  • Boring copy of Game of Thrones (in space)

    Soooo boring.

At first I thought I've landed in a re-run of Game of Thrones (which would have been better than this abismal "Prophecy" series).

They copied everything from "Game of Thrones": set design, costumes, lighting, photography etc.

They even copied the sword training Arya Stark had in the first episodes almost frame by frame.

What this boring series lacks though is an interesting story, interesting characters - or even the appearance of a clever plot.

It is not even based on the original work of the author Frank Herbert.

His son owned the rights and hired a writer to cash in on the franchise and "together" they wrote a series of prequel novels to the Dune saga.

These books are not even that bad but they are just mediocre and a far cry from Dune by Frank Herbert.

The series is not even mediocre - but sooo boring it was hard for me to get through the first episode.

Frank Herbert created a fantastic and rich universe.

Within that universe you could tell a million great stories.

But the makers of "Prophecy" chose to make a boring series about the most boring characters within the Dune universe: The Bene Gesserit

Add to it bad actors who seem to sleepwalk through every scene and the fact that nothing interesting happens, nothing.

Imagine a Game of Thrones spin-off about the Silent Sisters.

Sounds like a veeery boring and stupid idea?

    That sums up "Prophecy".

Well, at least I can prophesy that I will not waste my time with another episode of this series.

  • Tedious Torture Show

Worst K-show I've watched in quite some time.

A female "judge" from hell does something wrong now she has to go up to the real world, find evil criminals, make them confess, and then kill them so they are sent to hell.

    Sounds incredibly stupid?

    Oh, yes, and it is.

This judge from hell poses as a human judge and then basically goes around, finds some culprits and then beats the hell out of them until they confess.

Then she kills them with a magic dagger to send them to hell.

So every episode she finds some unlucky criminal she tortures at length to beat a confession out of them.

If you are into torture movies like "Hostel" this might be the show for you.

If you were looking for some intelligent and witty entertainment with a clever script you are at the wrong place.

Instead of making the judge from hell investigate a crime and then devise some intelligent, non-violent plan to send the culprits to hell - the braindead makers of that show went the easy way.

Why come up with a clever script, when the judge from hell can just torture the culprits every episode.

It's like Sherlock Holmes finding a culprit and then just beating the hell out of him until they confess, and then kills them.

And all the culprits know that they get killed once they confess, but they just stand there and let themselves be tortured.

Not one of them tries to run away.

"Hello there, evil hell judge, since you are torturing me so nicely, of course I will tell you everything you want to hear, so you won't kill me. Wait! What? You are going to kill me anyway?! This must be the most stupid TV show ever we both are in right now! Can I call my agent first, please?"

If there is a hell for untalented K-show makers, I hope some judge from hell sends them there.
