I read the book when I went through my first Break up and I fell in love with the story, characters, and all of the themes it was depicting. Although I wasn't the biggest fan of all of the detailed sex scenes they had in the book I still had a blast with it. Me having knowledge of the book and the stuff in the book I had high expectations and they were met. Logan Lerman is picture perfect as Charlie. He plays that character perfectly and probably should've gotten an Oscar nomination. Ezra Miller and Emma Watson were also incredible as Patrick and Sam respectively. And don't sleep on Paul Rudd's performance which was flawless in every way. This movie should've done better at the Oscars. It should've at least gotten nominated for Adapted Screenplay, maybe even a few acting nominations and Best Picture. This movie has the ability to change lives, I promise you.
This is one of those movies that both kids and adults can enjoy. This movie is simply one of the greatest animated movies of all time and in a year that Toy Story 3 wasn't in the same Beat Animated Feature category at the Oscars would've won. The movie's score is one of the most beautiful things I've ever heard in my life and this is frankly one of Dreamworks' greatest films by far. Dang I just realized that the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences hates Dreamworks movies because when you think about it aside from the first ever win in the category being Shrek the only other win this studio has gotten is Wallace and Gromit: The Curse of the Were-Rabbit. This is a top tier movie and this movie in some words peak.
