Was good but it had its flaws. My biggest gripe with this movie is the score. It was terrible and the original had such a good one. The original score was iconic especially during Helen's chase scene. Speaking on chase scenes, there wasn't one in this one that's why it lost a star. Like how could you do IKWYDLS and not have a huge chase scene like in the original or ISK? My last problem was the twist at the end, it wasn't needed. The good was that I actually cared about the characters and was stomping my feet for some of their fates. I've never seen any of the new cast work and I was rooting for them. Jennifer and Freddie did a wonderful job at reprising their roles and it gave Sidney Prescott vibes in Scream 5. It was entertaining from the start and I knew once the accident scene was over and how they delivered it that we would have a solid movie. They should make a sequel and I hope they add a better score and some chase scenes. Maybe bring Brandy back ? The podcast character was my favorite and the cameo was chefs kiss!
Let me start by saying I'm a sucker for a cheesy shark movie. Most are just that but this one had more to it. Blake lively is gorgeous and talented and you feel stuck with her. They couldn't have picked a better actress for this movie. Most shark movies are cheesy fun but this one you had an emotional connection to. I was so invested in the story and survival the last 25 mins was a roller coaster ride. This is a much watch and I'm so mad I watched it just recently instead of when it came out. For a shark movie it gets a 10/10 best one yet. Someone needs to try and top this one now. For a regular thriller I'd give it a 8/10.
This was actually a really good suspenseful thriller. I was on the edge of my seat the entire movie. Watching the trailer you got exactly what you saw with a little twist at the end. I do agree the end felt rushed and I had a few unanswered questions. The coworkers were annoying as well but other than that the three vets killed it in these roles. They were very believable and I loved the way Monica Potter spoke and was in charge. This was a great little warm up for Freddie's return for IKWYDLS. I loved this film and thought it was something different. You couldn't predict what was going to happen next which I loved. My only real dislike was the end felt rushed they could've made it an extra 10 mins to answer some of the questions I still have.
