I learned so much more about Kwanza and I thank this film for that. The rituals were all played out in great detail. All the characters were believable and realistic in terms of family dynamics, and the love story was an added plus. There was wonderful chemistry between the starring couple. There were also some seasoned great actors here, including Holly Robinson Pete who always adds acting credibility.
Heritage is so important and the Christmas Hallmark's best films this year discussed and taught us about different holiday cultures. It was nice to get away from the formulaic Hallmark films of past.

Just a charming film with wonderful characters that actually were developed throughout the film; and it showed real neighborhoods that are the best thing about living here. Anything now that makes me laugh and cry together in a well created story is worth watching. Surprised!
