The Amateur takes a classic revenge plot and adds a fresh twist by featuring a smart, brainy protagonist rather than the usual physically dominant hero. This change in perspective is refreshing and sets the film apart from typical revenge stories. However, despite the interesting premise, the movie ultimately feels flat and uneventful. This is less about the storyline or pacing and more about the way the film is presented. The music choices fail to create tension or enhance key moments, and the scene transitions feel choppy and uninspired. With a stronger soundtrack and sharper editing, the film could have been far more engaging and memorable. As it stands, it's a promising concept weighed down by lackluster execution.

I only watched No Time to Die because of Ana de Armas-without her, I probably wouldn't have bothered. For the first time, Bond has a real motivation that makes the film somewhat more watchable than previous entries. The action sequences are notably better here, avoiding the emptiness that plagued earlier films in the series. However, as Daniel Craig's final outing, it's a disappointing farewell. Rami Malek's villain is incredibly flat and uninspired, adding nothing to the story or tension. The movie often feels dull and drags in places. Ultimately, No Time to Die is worth watching if only for Ana de Armas's presence, but as a Bond film, it falls short of expectations.

Spectre feels like a more connected and ambitious entry compared to some of the recent Bond films. It ties together storylines from previous movies, which rewards long-time fans, and the plot feels more cohesive and engaging. The action sequences are noticeably better choreographed and more exciting, which is refreshing after some of the more lackluster moments in the series. That said, the film still struggles with pacing issues and occasionally falls into predictable tropes. The villain, while more fleshed out than in some installments, lacks the charisma to truly elevate the stakes. Bond feels more like himself here-confident and sharp-but sometimes the script holds him back with forced dialogue or clichés. Overall, Spectre is a solid Bond film that improves on several fronts but doesn't quite reach classic status. For me, it's a decent 6 out of 10-worth watching for fans, but with room to grow.
