If you're a New Yorker you'll understand this film wholeheartedly. It's a beautiful film about situations that still happens today in urban cities like NYC Along with messages about unity, love, consciousness and survival. I recommend for the holiday season. It's about kwanza however the film reaches out to all races with its positive messages. The late Merlin Santana does a great job bring the street urban twist. This used to play on PBS every holiday as I remember growing up in NYC. I strongly recommend for the younger youth for better understanding of the Kwanza celebration. This film is from 1996.
