I rate 10/10 because this c-drama surprised me. This romance storyline is an example of how a writer can transform a worn repetitive theme into a delightful plot which is highly entertaining, creative and refreshing. The writer clearly has exceptional skills, because she creates drama without using lack of dialogue, unreasonable misunderstandings and others tiresome cheesy drama content. It is not over dramatized with too much unnecessary and irritating drama caused by the main female character's infantile and unreasonable decisions. It is the opposite: the main female actress Wang Yu Wen not make irritating faces and pouts and the character she conveys is clever, feisty and no-nonsense. The main male actor Wang Zi Qi is very comfortable in playing his role, which had a bit more development than usual. The secondary actors are also very good and portray very well their characters. The female voices tone and timbre are more pleasant to listen to, not so high-pitched, nagging and childish. All of the above make me try watching more Chinese series. I am very tired of watching cheesy irritating drama created with the concept that we viewers are dimwit. Thank you, screenwriters Shang Meng Lu and Zhang Xiao. The directors Li Yao Bo and Chu De Jian also deserve my thanks.
I absolutely don't understand why Jang Yoo-ha wrote an ending so incoherent at the end of Doona! Why does he think that such incoherent ending is realistic? Why he modified the ending of "The girl downstairs" ? Does he think that he is a better writer and can write a better ending? Clearly he is not. Does he think that a singer can love only another singer, or another star? That is not real life, because 99% of the stars do not get married to another star. Why that ending so cold and unnatural, without any prior sequence that lead to such ending? The worse is that it was right after the couple reconciliated and hugged each other! Why we, the viewers, have to watch something so frustrating ? Every time that I lose my time watching something that is good 80% of the time, but the last 5 minutes ruin everything, I promise myself that I will never again watch a serie written by that same writer!
