I had high hopes but sadly, all hope is gone with the first episode. The same wooden acting that has become the norm these days. Not a hint of emotion, no facial expressions, same hollow unrealistic script.

The characters are what has also become the norm. The uniformed officers we meet, male is a bumbling idiot who seems to have learning disabilities as well as a haircut that would never be allowed for law enforcement anywhere. His partner, a woman who acts manly and is smart, professional and acts like she's babysitting her make partner. Why does the man always have to be portrayed like an idiot? Same with the other detective. He's portrayed as arrogant and hard to get along with. And of course our main character, Anais, will he portrayed as perfect.

We also have the boss of the police station, a woman of course.

The pathologist is conducting an autopsy like he's out for a beer with his buddies. This is so unrealistic and dumb. The forced and awkward flirting, the terrible acting makes for another dumb show with no purpose.

After watching the trailer, my curiosity got the best of me. I was curious to see how on earth these "actors" got a job, as well as who wrote this atrocious movie? Is it a movie? I never saw so many unappealing, no talent people in the same movie. I really want to know how something so awful, ridiculous and stupid was made and who paid for it. Did they actually think this was a good script? Did they truly believe the people they chose to play these roles were talented? They all look horrible and cannot act. I doubt they could act in a TV commercial, a YouTube video, anything. Did they actually think director hold a casting call at the local supermarket? Did they read before being hired? And who wrote this garbage? How shameful of everyone involved in this mess. Look at the main characters! How on earth did they get hired? The writers should never work again if that is their professional career.

The biggest problem with series 8 and 9 is Tosh being put into a lead role that she cannot handle as an actress and as her character. She's terrible and the only reason she was once enjoyable was because of her relationship with Jimmy. She was light hearted and had a quirky sense of humor, now she is just awful, boring, wooden, and on screen way too much. This is a huge mistake for the show. If rather have Ruth team up with Sandy, it would've been much better and taken more seriously.

Or they should have replaced Jimmys character with another male. It was so stupid to hire a women to take over for Jimmy, who is not really the leader. They now made Tosh the main person, and it sucks.
