The characters keep talking over each other and making these terrible decisions. When I watch this show, I often find myself yelling at the screen a bit, pacing the room, imagining what would happen if the characters made better choices. Maybe, that's the point. I don't know. It's still pretty funny. It's also just too Jewish. The show seems to promote Judaism in a way that other shows with prominent Jewish characters (i.e. The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel) don't. Not that that has anything to do with Judaism at all. It's the same way people say other shows do with gay people, except that's almost always an exaggeration, and this is actually the show.
I just took a four-day trip to Canada with several people. When we got there, I put The Office on the TV of our hotel room. I had it on pretty much whenever someone was in the room for pretty much the whole time. I got through the first four seasons. Nobody ever asked me to turn it off. It's just that good.
I love this show. It's well-made, well-acted, conceptually insane, and absolutely hilarious. The amount of actual celebrities they got to cameo is almost unbelievable. Every single scene of every single episode has some element that I find extremely impressive. Not to mention a great ending. I really love this show.
