A movie which should have aimed to capitalise on the base set by the first edition, woefully fell short of all the expectations. The movie is a cheap attempt at creating a comedy-horror-suspence trip, however fails at the first two grandly and barely managing to achieve the suspense part.
Cheap attempts at comedy by "Roohi Baba", insult to religious feelings by calling Gangajal as "Mutr" etc are fail multiple times. The so called comedy evoked, not laughter, but disgust while watching the movie. The role of three jokers- Chota pandit, Bada Pandit and Panditayan is redundant and could have been done without. The lead actress is a bit more than eye candy, whose presence is ruined by ill placed somf sequences.
The plot of movie could have been a success story, if and if only the script was sensible enough to not include cliche dialogues, poor attempts of comedy and redundant song sequences- something the movie maker should have learnt from first edition.
Only saving grace in the movie was screen presence and acting skills of Madhuri Dikshit and Vidya Balan and the last five mins.
Definately not worth watching in the movie theatre and deserves watching it on OTT in thirty minutes by skipping parts. Only reason the first edition is good because it is copy of a south indian movie.

The initial 15-20 mins sees the protagonist's friend developing feelings for the a girl(the lead actress), but however the lead actor ends up romancing with her. This is followed by cliche dialogues between the lead and the villain and cliche fighting scenes.
And here onwards, audience would prefer movie out of theatre rather than sit and endure more torture.
