This show is great for people who want to see great graphics, action scenes, never-boring plot with clever characters going from one scam to another. At the same time viewers should pardon the show for some inconsistencies, things are not always realistic, characters sometimes throw themselves from one extremity to another and their actions seem very weird. Great Pretender is a surrealistic work, never in our life things play out so perfectly, it feels like they are super lucky people. But even understanding that every time all dead people will turn up alive in the end, all weird behavior will turn up to be another act, the show never stopped to surprise me and was keeping me glued to the screen. My favorite arc is Singapore, the visuals were just so stunning, and I like how they started to tell us scammers' backstories, it was very interesting. The action and only action anime started to turn into a serious drama with well shaped characters.
Adaptation is very close to the original, nothing was added, nothing was thrown away. For those who don't know Pluto is a 8-volume manga, so don't expect any season 2, they already showed everything. And it's an old manga, so nothing new will appear.
Naoki Urasawa's mangas are unique compared to any other mangas as they are very serious and realistic. They are more like movies while other works are more like cartoons for kids. And this is why I love them. It's like its own genre.
I'm happy Netflix took decision to invest themselves into this, I wish they do the same with 20th Century Boys. This is the anime I've been waiting for for so long.

I like little Umaru as a character, her sitting and munching snacks in her lovely kigurumi, getting everything she wants by emotional manipulations, playing games and not caring about any serious adult stuff. As others mentioned, yes, the story could be a bit deeper, the author could have added some more variety, because the show relies on us falling in love with Umaru and her child-like habits. This show doesn't really offer anything beyond that. On the other hand was it fun? Yes. Did I have a good time watching it? Definitely. It's one of those things to take our mind away from daily hassle and just relax.
