I recently watched Zak Moradi A Journey of Resilience and Hurling in Ireland" and was truly moved by Zak's story. A refugee from Kurdistan, Zak faced huge challenges adjusting to life in Ireland. What stood out was how hurling became his path to connection. Though the sport was new to him, it helped him build bonds and find a sense of belonging in a foreign land.
The documentary captures Zak's growth from a beginner to a key player on his local team, showing how sport can break cultural barriers. It's a powerful reminder of how resilience and a shared passion can bring people together, no matter where they come from.
